Urwerk UR-202 Hammerhead
Posted on Apr 20, 08 10:10 PM PDT

Urwerk's UR-202 Hammerhead watch is one of the cooler releases to date where timepieces are concerned, featuring a whole host of innovative features which most people wouldn't have dreamed up of. It tells the time using a trio of hands that rotate around the center of the watch, where number blocks on each end of individual hands will rotate, showing the hour, while a small metal pointer indicates the minute. A couple of dials alongside the minute bar lets you know the current moon phase, and whether it is day or night (that shouldn't be too hard to tell even without a watch...). It needs no batteries as kinetic energy is what drives it, so unless you're a couch potato, this ought to be powered indefinitely until you're laid to rest. There is no word on pricing, but it sure as heck doesn't look cheap.
