ASUS Notebooks get Splashtop
Posted on May 29, 08 01:00 AM PDT

ASUS notebooks will be getting the new Splashtop software that enables users to access their computers just seconds after hitting the power button instead of waiting for a couple of minutes, whiling their time away as the operating system loads. Sounds like a time-saver that will definitely appeal to those who are constantly on-the-go and need to access their data ASAP. There will be a wide range of models from ASUS that will ship with Splashtop pre-installed from June onwards. It will fall under the "Express Gate" brand under the ASUS banner, and the newly announced M70T, M50V and M51Vr multimedia series and stylish F8Va/Vr series will be the first models from ASUS carrying such technology.

I've been following Splashtop for a while. Seems like a great idea. I really want this on something like the Eee PC or the MSI Wind. Not quite as thrilling on a desktop.
