It is the law of the jungle - the survival of the fittest. The same applies to the world of gizmos as well, and an e-book reader released some time ago will definitely fail miserably when stacked up against newer models of today. Hence the Cybook Gen3 New Edition which features a trio of improvements over the original. For starters, you get 512MB of internal memory, where 480MB of that will be allocated for storage purposes, while the new firmware 1.1 offers greater stability, superior battery lifetime and a more reactive button interface. Last but not least is a revised housing with a navigation button that has tactile feedback. These improvements won't see a price increase, as you will still pay $350 for the Standard and $450 for the Deluxe models. In fact, you're probably getting more today since your dollar is worth less.
