Fujitsu MHZ2 BK Series HDD
Posted on May 19, 08 10:04 AM PDT

Fujitsu has just announced its MHZ2 BK Series of 2.5" hard drives that hold a special feature over the rest of the competition - it was specially designed for 24-hour continuous operation, available in a 250GB form factor at 7200 rpm. Targeting use in demanding environments with high-frequency access (that rules out regular blogging and boring office jobs), the MHZ2 BK Series features extremely low power consumption of a mere 2.3 W for both read and write operations. This hard drive is covered under Fujitsu’s Green Policy Innovation program, so you can go to sleep peacefully knowing that you have done your part in helping keep the earth green. No idea on how much it costs, but the Fujitsu MHZ2 BK Series ought to hit retail stores at the end of July.
