MTI Micro Fuel Cells for Digicams
Posted on May 7, 08 08:01 PM PDT

Since fuel cells have been researched upon to be used in cell phones, why not in digital cameras as well? That's exactly what MTI MicroFuel Cells is hoping come up with in the near future, as it is currently working with a Japanese optics manufacturer to adapt its integrated Mobion fuel cell technology for digital cameras. With that, we could soon see the death knell of standard lithium ion batteries as well as rechargeable AA batteries for consumer-level digital cameras, since fuel cells are supposed to be much easier and faster to recharge while carrying a higher capacity.
