Panasonic Evolta Robot Climbs Grand Canyon
Posted on May 27, 08 09:28 AM PDT

I guess being a robot makes it much easier to combat against the fear of heights, which is why Panasonic's Evolta battery mascot robot managed to fearlessly scale a 500 meter cliff at the Grand Canyon. The main purpose of this scrapyard-defying exercise is to demonstrate the endurance of the Evolta AA alkaline battery which currently is a Guinness Book of World Records holder under the longest lasting battery of its kind category. It takes just a couple of Evoltas to help the robot make its way up the 500 plus meter slope, successfuly making the trip up after a rust-inducing 6 hours and 45 minutes.
