VIA Nano Processor
Posted on May 29, 08 07:38 AM PDT

VIA has rolled out its new Nano processor family which gets inspiration from the VIA Isaiah architecture. This processor holds the distinction of being the first 64-bit, superscalar, speculative out-of-order processors from VIA's x86 platform portfolio, and is tipped to offer an attractive alternative to both desktop and notebook markets. Word has it that the performance of these new chips will be able to handle even the most demanding of computing and entertainment applications, ranging from Blu-ray disc HD video playback as well as number-crunching games such as Crysis. There is no word on the pricing structure though, but it shouldn't be too expensive to begin with.
