3D LCD Display Box

Folks at Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) has rolled out a new 3D LCD display box that can fit into the palm of your hand, known as gCubik. With the gCubik, it makes it possible to visualize objects in 3D through its integrated imaging technology, measuring a mere 10cm in size. NICT aims to improve the display quality and has given themselves a 3-year time frame to do so, with a wireless version in the pipeline as well. I wonder what other practical applications can be applied to the gCubik.
