A Full Wash with One Cup

Academics from Leeds University have apparently come up with a washing machine that takes but a single cup of water to perform a full wash, leaving clothes virtually dry (and hopefully clean) at the end of the process. How is this possible, you ask? Well, they threw in thousands of plastic chips for good measure - each measuring approximateyl 0.5cm in size which will help absorb and remove dirt. Each load will see around 20kg of such chips added, along with some detergent and a cup of water. Water is heated during the washing cycle to ease the dissolving of dirt that are subsequently absorbed by the plastic chips. These chips can be used up to 100 times - hopefully they'll be easy to remove after each washing as I wouldn't like the idea of combing through each and every individual pocket for these. A working machine could hit the market as early as next year.
