AMD Brings High-End Graphics to Mobiles
Posted on Jun 11, 08 11:19 PM PDT

AMD has finally achieved Open GL ES 2.0 mobile graphics technology compliance with hardware that outputs similar AMD Unified Shader Architecture as the Microsoft gaming console, although I don't think this development would mean you can get Xbox 360 graphcis on a cell phone anytime soon since there are still many hardware issues to overcome. Should that day happen, however, does that mean the cell phone will be the dominant portable console around, killing off both the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP (or whatever iteration they're at at that point in time)? Whatever the outcome, exciting times are ahead for the consumer.
