The new Atom-powered Asus Eee PCs have finally received a release date in the UK, and as we all know, July 1st ain't too far away. For those living across the pond, are you looking forward to this new Eee PC or are you swayed by the many other variants offered by different manufacturers? The Eee PC 1000 certainly looks tempting, considering it comes with a whopping 40GB of SSD or an 80GB hard drive. Obviously the SSD version will be considerably more expensive, but think of the load times in that machine, not to mention the ability to withstand more knocks while you travel light.
