Black Box PC Case Mod

Black boxes are often talked about only during emergencies, but some smart aleck decided to do otherwise by taking one of these and turning it into a PC mod. While the exterior is pretty bulky, the same cannot be said of the interior since there is so little space inside, you can scarcely fit in a mini-ITX motherboard along with the bare minimal hardware. According to the modder, he spent a fair bit of time clearing out the inside with a large auger bit and a drill, kicking up a fair bit of asbestos in the process. Guess this isn't a mod for those who are health-conscious, but thanks to the modder, we don't have to do it ourselves to find out what the experience is like. Guess certain experiences are best left read than done.

I heard some things about asbestos a while back, but I don't remember exactly what. But I feel that asbestos really shouldn't be all that harmful, so I don't think it is. People worry too much about things they don't understand. Personally, I don't worry about things I don't understand.

Wow, the general stupidity of people is really outstanding. Dozens and dozens of you post that he will suddenly die within 5-10 years... Rofl.
People mined the stuff for years, half their life went by with little to no affect. It has only been after 30+ years that a tiny percentage started to have problems. Even now its not a "given" that it gives cancer.
Drinking
Smoking
Eating (rare foods)
All have been proven to give cancer.. Do all smokers die in such a short time.. Pft.

The peak in Asbestos related deseases is expected in many European countries around 2015

Come on, don't believe the fear mongering. A little asbestos is nothing to worry about. It's only a serious problem with long term exposure.

I truly hope the modder doesn't die of lung cancer. Deliberate exposure to asbestos is little short of suicidal. We need better science education, folks.
