Electric Car Charging Ports

Leading supermarket chain, Aeon Co., Ltd. in Japan is currently mulling over the decision to include electric car charging ports at its supermarkets to help out Japanese automobile manufacturers. This announcement will definitely find automobile execs (in Japan, at least) pleased to know that future commercial electric vehicles like the Mitsubishi i MiEV (seen above) and Subaru R1e are able to juice up while the driver does their weekly grocery shopping. While first generation electric cars might take up to 14 hours for a full charge at home, Aeon hopes to drop that number down to just one hour with a new kind of charger. Isn't it about time the rest of the world moves on with electric cars as well?
