LEGO Scanner

LEGO Scanner

Who doesn't love LEGO? Anders Søborg has such a great love for these building blocks and coupled with his keen mind, he has built and programmed his own NXT scanner that are able to capture scanned images as BMP files in either 24-bit true color, 8-bit color or gray scale. It is rather slow when it gets to work, so you're better off with a dedicated scanner if time is of the essence. Otherwise, this makes for a great hobby project if you have some time to kill.

Without detracting from this person's great achievement, a Mr Aaron Puzey already did this over a decade ago...so old news, I'm afraid.
