Optoma Announces Pico Projector
Posted on Jun 18, 08 09:51 AM PDT

Optoma has just announced the first Pico projector that is powered by the DLP Pico chipset, with a device so small it is able to fit right into the palm of your hand with no problems whatsoever. Being smaller than the majority of smart phones out there, mobile professionals who eat, drink and sleep PowerPoint will definitely find this to be a boon in their everyday work. Guess that means yet another AC adapter to lug around with you on your travels. The Optoma Pico Projector will be available in limited distribution in Europe and Asia in late 2008, where a worldwide launch will begin next year. No idea on pricing though.

This is trash, I saw a demo of this and its hardly practical for any use. Its so dim you can hardley see the image unless you black the room out so much you can't read any paper work. It get so hot that it makes me wonder how long the thing will work, plus they dont have displosable lamps, once the lamp is out the thing is dead.
