Sony PS3 Movie Download Service in US
Posted on Jun 26, 08 02:59 AM PDT

It seems that Sony will be rolling out a new movie download service this summer in the US for its Sony PS3 owners. According to Kazuo Hirai of Sony, this service will also be made available in Japan and Europe albeit at a later date. Further details will be made available later next month, and it will be interesting to see how the other two companies, Microsoft and Nintendo, will react to this news. Is Sony getting closer and closer to their dream of conquering the living room of everyone in the world with their range of networkable devices?

Microsoft already offers this kind of service in most EU country's and in the US. Has been doing this for about a year. So, welcome to 2008 Sony.

Good timing Sony! Just when the ISPs are starting to charge by volume instead of flat rate.
