T-Mobile gets Samsung T229
Posted on Jun 16, 08 11:13 AM PDT

T-Mobile in the US has finally done away with the entry level T219 cell phone from Samsung by introducing the T229 as a replacement. Some of the improvements include a VGA camera, an "audio postcard" feature that allows you to include a sound clip into a photo, basic data access, and support for MyFaves. Available in a special red-and-champagne color, the Samsung T229 will be priced slightly higher than free at $30, as long as you don't mind tying yourself down to a two-year contract.

Does this phone really exist? I've been shopping for a new T-Mobile phone and can find extensive reviews on every other phone available EXCEPT for this one. What's going on?
