USB Cell Ranger

The Cell Ranger claims to offer an additional two to three bars of signal for just about any cell phone, although I'm not entirely convinced it is that powerful. Heck, it even touts to work wonders with a 3G data card as well. All you need to do is hook up the USB Cell Ranger onto any available USB port, place the antenna near a window and you will experience signals clearer than ever before. Here's a brief product description from the manufacturers themselves :-
Cell Ranger products contain a microprocessor that actively analyzes the signals that your cell phone is receiving. By comparing the signal strengths of different towers, the microprocessor self-tunes to the correct channels. This innovative technology means that Cell Ranger products are carrier friendly – they only amplifies the signals that your cell phone needs.
The USB Cell Ranger will retail for $150 a pop. Does it really work? If you've tried one of these puppies, do share your experience with us via the comments.
