Allied Vehicles E7 Electric Taxi

Allied Vehicles will be rolling out their new E7 electric taxis at the upcoming British International Motor Show (BIMS). It seems that these green taxis seem to take a little bit longer than expected to be used due to bureaucracy issues with the Transport for London's taxi licensing division, the Public Carriage Office, that prevents it from plying routes which go through capitol-city streets. It is hoped that the E7 will be able to ply routes in other municipalities by October later this year. Powered by lithium ion batteries from Axeon, the E7 electric taxi is said to have a 100-mile range and a top speed of 60 mph with each charge, and will retail for £39,450 each.
