CherryPal Offers Low Power Cloud Computing
Posted on Jul 20, 08 10:28 PM PDT

CherryPal relies on cloud-based computing minus subscription costs, and won't be a boon to your monthly power bill as it draws a mere two watts of power. There are no moving parts within, and it uses hardware encrpytion when linking up to the cloud (which is run by Amazon) securely. In order to help pay for the cloud server, short ads are shown each time you open a program, but that's as far as the intrusion goes. Features include :-
- 400MHz Freescale MPC5121e mobileGT processor
- 256 MB RAM
- 4GB NAND flash storage
- 802.11g Wi-Fi
- Two USB 2.0 ports
- 10/100 Ethernet
- VGA out
- Headphone out
