Custom Firmware for the Wii
Jul 18, 08 08:11 PM PDT

Word has it that the first custom firmware for the Wii is now out, and this one enables writable DVDs to be read in emulators as well. What you see here is courtesy from TeamShift who have also recently unveiled a claimed working PSP emulator for the Wii, but unfortunately the frame rate is not up to par at all with a 4 to 8 fps range. Hoepfully a future beta version will see the emulated games hitting their normal speeds, but should that happen expect Sony and Nintendo to start an even more intense rivalry.
