Esendex Turns Phones into Personal Trainers
Posted on Jul 21, 08 07:03 PM PDT

SMS service provider Esendex will be working with event organiser Nova International to bring training packages for runners that function via SMS. Available in the UK at the moment, it will help folks prep themselves for running events by sending personalized training plans through SMS, e-mail as well as over the Internet. Thanks to Esendex's two-way SMS service, experts have managed to bring together a minimum recommended 16-week training program that ought to shape anyone up directly to and from a cell phone. Each time after a training session is completed, runners will be able to text their feedback such as ‘felt’, ‘great’, ‘bad’ or ‘ok’ for the computer system to analyze and plan the next training schedule. This requires a great deal of discipline though IMHO.
