Hannspree Has New Sporty LCDs

Hannspree has just announced new 19" LCD TVs that take on a rather sporty theme, presumably just in time for the summer Olympics. All these three LCDs will retail for $279 each, and they will be available in basketball, soccer ball or baseball designs. Shared features include 1,280 x 1,024 resolution, a response time of 5ms and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. For those on a tighter budget, you can always pick up the relatively cheaper $239 model known as the Slamma as it comes with a 700:! contrast ratio and a 1,440 x 900 resolution. Unfortunately, Hannspree did not mention when it will be released, but it ought to be sometime this summer.
