Intel Slashes Processor Prices
Posted on Jul 21, 08 10:25 AM PDT

Intel has just cut its processor prices by up to 31%, and this will see the quad-core Q6600 hit $193 from $224, and the desktop Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16GHz) is more affordable at $183 compared to the old price of $266. If you've been eyeing the Core 2 Duo E7200 (2.53GHz) for some time already, it will now retail nearer the Benjamin mark at $113 compared to $133 of yore. One range of processors, the QX Extreme processors, will not experience this benefactory act from Intel though. Will you upgrade your computer now that Intel's processors are more affordable?
