Kodak's new Theatre HD Player is a High Definition (HD) media player which boasts Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to interact freely and creatively with their digital memories. This highly interactive device will display personal content such as images, videos, podcasts and music on a HDTV when connected to a Wi-Fi network, letting you view slideshows with your favorite tunes running in the background, or sharing videos with visitors to the home. All of this can be achieved without the need for a computer, which should make the older generation smile as they struggle with the fact that their reflexes and eyesight cannot keep up with the rigors of modern computing. High definition still images are displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio, while videos have a maximum 720p resolution. The Kodak Theatre HD Player is tipped to retail for $299.99 as it ships this September onwards.
