MIT Graduates Build 16-GPU Monster

Here’s something for people who complain that their computer can’t run Crysis well enough. MIT graduates Nicolas Pinto, David Cox and James DiCarlo recently assembled a crazy computer with 8 units of nVidia’s 9800GX2 graphic card (for a total of 16 GPUs). The team is also involved in PetaVision project on the Roadrunner, the world's fastest computer. Too bad this isn’t available off the shelves for users to purchase, not that most people would be able to afford eight 9800GX2 cards though. About Crysis: it would quickly become CPU-limited anyways...
