OWC FireWire Neptune Drive

OWC has rolled out a new 1TB drive as part of its external FireWire Neptune drives. You will get other capacities as well to suit your budget, starting from 80GB upwards, and all of them will feature a 7200RPM speed. Compatible with Apple's Time Machine back-up software, the Neptune range will be powered by an Oxford chipset and boast the following :-

• Shock-resistance
• Two six-pin FireWire 400 ports
• One FireWire cable
• Pre-loaded software

Depending on the capacity of the hard drive in question, the data buffer size will range from 8MB all the way to 32MB. Pricing starts from $85 and maxes out at $230.
