Panasonic Free Angle HDMI Cable

Panasonic lays claim to yet another first - a free angle HDMI cable that is compliant with version 1.3a high data transfer speed specification. Since flat panel displays are doing gangbusters sales in the world today, there is a vast untapped market for HDMI cables with a free angle plug. Current HDMI cables may require up to 9cm of space behind a flatscreen TV and the wall in order to be connected, but since Panasonic's Free Angle HDMI Cable has the flexibility of 180 degrees, the required space can be reduced to as little as 3cm. 1.5 and 3 metre versions will roll out this August at a yet undisclosed price. In the first place, do you think this is a problem that requires such a solution?
