Instead of carving out a flap on your front door for your pooch to enter/exit as it pleases, why not settle for the Plexidoor electronic dog door? After all, it helps keep your home secure while offering freedom to Fido to go out and relieve himself when necessary without having to wake you up in the middle of the night. This is made possible thanks to a waterproof RFID chip located on Fido's collar that functions as a pass code. It comes with a safety mechanism to prevent paws and fingers from getting stuck, but I wonder how easily will it get dislodged. Depending on the size and model, the Plexidor Electronic Dog Door will retail from $129 to $800.
