Robotic Chef Helps You Clean Up
Posted on Jul 16, 08 02:46 AM PDT

Cooking is a hobby for some people, but not many people enjoy the cleaning up more than the eating. This robotic chef developed by the Technical University of Munich uses radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags on dishes and utensils in its kitchen, hence being smart enough to know the difference between various objects, keeping everything in their proper position and place in a snap. In essence, the use of RFID tags do away with the headache of interpreting and understanding everyday activities via vision data. This robot is not yet full time kitchen material as there are still many more steps to go before it is ready.
