Toshiba offers 400GB Hard Drive

Toshiba's latest range of 2.5" hard drives will see a new quiet model that has an area density to 477Mbit/mm² (308Gbpsi), allowing it to hit 400GB of storage space on just two platters. It will definitely be a boon to notebook manufacturers as they try to cram in more memory and storage into the smallest space possible, and the 400GB MK4058GSX from Toshiba does not disappoint. It would be interesting to see just how much longer hard drives will be able to progress in the fight against SSDs. I personally think that there is a market for both segments for several more years to come.
