If you carry a large collection of mp3 files, chances are that you ripped a fair number of them a long time ago (from your own CDs, of course…) and you might have labeled tracks yourself. These tracks aren’t as neatly named as they could be and it would be hard to get information such as album photos automatically. There comes TuneUp: it analyses the music itself and recognizes the song. From there it can find the title and all information related to each track. That’s not all, TuneUp can also find out about upcoming concerts, fan sites and other related media.

TuneUp works as a companion to iTunes – for Windows only at the moment (sic). It costs $19.95 as a one-time purchase or $11.95 per year as a subscription. What do you think? Is that something that you need? Post a comment below.
