White LED Lights are Controllable
Posted on Jul 25, 08 08:27 AM PDT

Ichikoh Industries of Japan have developed a white LED-based adaptive front lighting system (AFS) which is smart enough to control the light angles of both left and right headlamps independently, which would work fine if my car could suddenly split up into two Batpods. The headlamp boasts a total luminous flux of 12,000 lumens, which is roughly the equal to a HID lamp. Each white LED loaded on individual units come with a quartet of LED chips, and is smart enough to respond to various driving conditions including straight lane driving, curve driving and highway driving. Guess road safety has just gone up by another notch, eh?
