42TB of external storage, clearly not for the average geek
Posted on Aug 26, 08 10:39 AM PDT

Sans Digital just released a storage system named AccuRAID AR442F4 that is aimed at datacenters. With its 42 bays, it can host 42TB of storage and supports RAID 6, if you're really paranoid about hardware failure. Of course, the drives are hot-swappable and all. Don't expect a USB or eSATA port, as this monster uses a Fibre Channel interface to provide the needed bandwidth. Oh, and it costs $25,000.
