Dell Has New Vostro A860 And A840 Notebooks

Dell has just lifted the curtain on its Vostro A860 and A840 notebooks, although these won't be available in the US market. The former will come with a 15.6" display with High Definition resolution, presumably making this a portable entertainment powerhouse, so make sure you're always nearby a power outlet. As for the smaller A850, it will feature a regular 14.1" WXGA display. Both machines will come with the following specifications :-

• Choice of Celeron to Intel Core 2 Duo processors
• 120GB/160GB hard drive
• 1GB RAM
• Wi-Fi connectivity
• DVD burnder
• Bluetooth connectivity

Interestingly enough, you don't have to remain tied down to Windows Vista with either model since they work fine on Ubuntu as well.
