Delta E-paper With Bridgestone QR-LPD Tech

Delta has rolled out a new high-performance e-paper that comes complete with Bridgestone's QR-LPD technology. This new e-paper will be on parade at IFA 2008 Berlin, and is more than capable of storing an image without the need for any power of sorts. In addition, this e-paper won't require a backlight, so that also goes a long way in helping it conserve battery life. I presume juice is sipped only when you want to change the current image. With e-paper technology taking larger steps than ever, it makes perfect sense for future textbooks to come in such formats - it will definitely lighten the physical load that a kid has to carry to school, thick textbooks and all.
