Aug 5, 08 11:59 PM PDT

Google will be rolling out an updated version of its hardware appliance that helps companies and government organizations search through office documents, Google-style. The latest iteration of the Google Search Appliance is able to store up to 10 million documents in a single box, relying on storage hardware from Dell. Other new features include superior encryption capability for better security and Google Alerts working to notify users whenever new documents are being uploaded onto the network by their colleagues. Google Search Appliances will support up to 27 languages at this point in time, delivering search results in 40 different languages.
