LED Lamp Looks Like Candle
Posted on Aug 19, 08 07:49 AM PDT

Here's an LED lamp that looks like a burning and flickering candle, thanks to an acryl light guide panel which is able to mimic a candle flame's shape despite being illuminated as a white LED. If this technology takes off on a large scale, I hope that romantic interludes will be much safer since the risk of a curtain or tablecloth catching fire would be minimized. Of course, for those who still reside in areas where electricity is not readily available, traditional candlelight will have to do. There is a brightness control capability for you to express a waning candle flame without the risk of it being extinguished.
