There are several American icons that make it big in Japan, among them are baseball, McDonalds and Apple. We'll look at the fruity brand for today, with a Japan-only Mac TV being released from IO-DATA. Known by its full model number GV-MACTV, this is a digital TV tuner that targets Mac owners, and is connected via USB 2.0. It measures a diminutive 98mm x 92mm x 25mm and comes with a B-CAS slot card that can be controlled through the Apple Remote. At long last, Mac owners have a local solution to get digital broadcast in the Land of the Rising Sun.
