Published on 08/ 7/2008
Nikon's got a brand new Coolpix model - the P6000, and this one breaks new barriers by featuring GPS navigation built right into the camera itself. The Coolpix P6000 also prides itself in being the first consumer camera with an integrated Ethernet connector, making it a snap to share images speedily without hassle. Other features of this P5000 replacement are :-
- 1/1.72" Type CCD
- 13.5 million effective pixels
- Macro close-up mode: 2 cm (0.8 in) to infinity (8) ISO sensitivity
- Full res: ISO 64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 2000
- Auto (ISO 64-800), Auto high-sensiticity up to ISO 1600 LCD monitor • 2.7-in wide viewing angle TFT LCD with anti-reflection coating
- GPS navigation
- Ethernet port
- SD/SDHC memory card slot
- 48 MB internal memory
No idea on how much this will cost, but it shouldn't be radically more than the P5000 model which it is replacing.
