Nissan Intelligent Seatbelt

Nissan has come up with an Intelligent Seatbelt that prides itself in improving the usability of seatbelts. Each time the door is opened, a motorized retractor will activate automatically while feeding the seatbelt. The belt guide on the door side will incline forward courtesy of a spring for the passenger to grab the belt easily. In the event of sudden steering or skidding, the seatbelt will automatically wind up to keep the passenger in place, increasing one's odds of survival during an accident. This Intelligent Seatbelt technology will be installed on coupes when it is commercialized in a couple of years from now.
