It is a no-brainer that the Portable Motion Detecting LED Night Light functions only when the sun has set, because it would be rather pointless otherwise (unless your area experiences a brownout, of course). only works at night. For $24.99, you get an integrated photocell that will be activated only in darkness. The moment the motion sensor detects a movement, the LED will automatically light up to provide you with some sort of illumination. It won't be tethered to a power cord of any kind since it is battery-powered, making it convenient to carry around the home without waking anybody else up. If you're on a tight budget and can't even afford rechargeable batteries, you can choose to set the automatic shut-off time from 30 seconds to five minutes.
