Instead of toting around a projector as well as a notebook, why not merge both devices into one machine? Enter the portable PC theatre concept that sees a full-fledged multimedia PC and a 5.1 surround sound system that allows you to enjoy your favorite movies anytime, anywhere - just make sure you're near a power outlet since a projector will probably drain a standard notebook battery dead within a short period of time. It would also be an engineering challenge to make sure the heat from the projector will be dissipated correctly without adversely affecting the rest of the computer's components. No idea on whether this concept is viable or not, but it would definitely be mighty impressive it if is ever realized.
