Sony has new Cybershots

Sony expanded its Cybershot line by introducing the DSC-T700 and DSC-T77 models, so don’t expect any DSLR class cameras in this post but welcome highly capable point-and-shoot devices instead. The former shares all the specifications of the DSC-T77 and more, and is perfect for casual shots, as it makes searching in-camera a snap thanks to the internal database structure and 4GB of integrated memory. Of course, that can be further expanded upon by using a Memory Stick, greatly adding to the initial capacity. As for the 10 megapixel T77, this is Sony’s thinnest Cybershot digital camera, featuring a 3″ widescreen touch panel LCD display, intelligent scene recognition technology, Smile Shutter and face detection technologies, high sensitivity shooting and in-camera image management. The DSC-T77 will oust the T70 model and hit the market this September for around $300, while the DSC-T700 will cost another $100 more. [Press Release]
