TouchKit Open Source Multi-touch Display

Microsoft's Surface might be taking its own sweet time in positioning itself as a consumer product, but they had best buck up unless they want the open source multi-touch display known as TouchKit to overtake them. This device will come fully assembled and won't feature any frame to interfere with your movie enjoyment. It will measure 70cm x 50cm and has a simple hardware/base software package that provides open source developers with all the necessary tool required to create and run their own multitouch applications. The TouchKit will retail for $1,580.
