Verizon Wireless Launches Blitz

If you have been waiting for the Blitz handset, your patience has paid off as Verizon Wireless is offering this phone as of today. The Blitz is, in essence, an UTStarcom handset, although it has been provided with the marketing muscle of Verizon Wireless. Some of the features on this vertical-slider include :-

• QWERTY keyboard
• V CAST Music and Video support
• Bluetooth connectivity
• 1.3 megapixel camera

I must stress that this is not a smartphone, so don't expect to get a productivity boost on the road with this. You will be able to pick up the Blitz from Verizon Wireless on both postpay and prepaid accounts. It will retail for just $69.99 if you sign up for a new two-year agreement.
