Coca-Cola takes yet another step to a greener approach with its new eKOfresh coolers that combine HFC-free insulation and refrigerants complete with an energy saving system that is touted to improve energy efficiency by up to 35% when compared to a standard soda machine. These new machines (5,600 of them were recently installed at every Olympic venue in Beijing) will emit around 4,000 less metric tons of greenhouse gases, which is roughly the equivalent of removing 19,000 cars off the road for a fortnight. Good for you, Coke, now let's see that initiative spread throughout the world.
