Cuol Book Runs On Windows CE
Posted on Sep 23, 08 08:11 PM PDT

Windows CE is essentially a handheld PC operating system, and won't be able to handle full fledged desktop applications, so will something like the Cuol Book being powered by Windows CE have a place in today's gadget industry? I'll leave the answer for you to decide, as it comes in a netbook form factor with a 7" display. Inside you will find a customized web browser, Skype for communication purposes and basic Office applications to get some work done while you're on the road. Other features include 1GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, a couple of USB ports, an SD/MMC memory card reader and an ARM 533MHz processor. It will retail for nearly $300, which would make me lean towards a new netbook anyday considering the far superior hardware and processor firepower that comes with the latter. Case of a little too late, perhaps?
Running windows CE means one thing: the boot time should be "instant"!
