Calculate your carbon footprint with Ecorio, an application for Android-powered phones. This goes to show how focused Google is on the environment as well as our impact on it, and Ecorio will rely on the G1's GPS system to track your total carbon footprint as you move about. It is also able to provide you with ideas to reduce the impact of travel, hoping that your heart will be moved to try out greener options. Alternatively, you can also pick up carbon offsets through Google Checkout but I'm not too sure just how many people will opt for that. In addition, Ecorio is smart enough to recommend public transport thanks to Google Transit. Guess Google is really taking over the world, teaching us how to move about even now.
