Imation takes the wireless route this time round with the Apollo Pro WX wireless USB hard drive. Don't worry too much about data transfer speeds since it is still connected via the USB standard, so you can expect a theoretical data transfer rate of 480Mbps - although that never happens in real life as we know it. Another feature found on the Apollo Pro WX would be data security that often comes with USB flash drive these days. You can place the Pro WX in a vertical or horizontal orientation - it doesn't matter, and it is used primarily as a backup device. There is a working range of 30 feet, so you can stash this away in a cupboard somewhere as your hidden cache of information. Pricing details have yet to be determined, but it will come in various capacities ranging from 250GB to 1TB.
